With over two decades of experience across clinical practice, public health, and higher education, Dr. Rivera brings a powerful blend of lived experience and professional expertise. A gay, Latinx founder and Doctor of both Physical Therapy and Public Health, he has built his career at the intersection of care delivery, cultural humility, and systems change.

He is also the founder of Elation Physical Therapy, a nationally recognized LGBTQ+-affirming clinic that pioneered inclusive care models for marginalized and underrepresented communities.

Through inclusiviQ, Dr. Rivera has launched the Certificate in Healthcare Inclusive Practice (CHIP), a 30-hour, interdisciplinary CE certification designed to help clinicians, administrators, and students close health disparities, meet licensure requirements, and lead equity-centered change across the healthcare system.

An international best-selling author and advocate for LGBTQ+ youth, Dr. Rivera uses storytelling to foster empathy, visibility, and connection across generations. His work continues to shape national conversations on identity, equity, and institutional accountability redefining DEI as a clinical competency, not a checkbox.

At a time when inclusion in healthcare is under political and cultural pressure, Dr. Rivera is building the infrastructure to ensure that equity, dignity, and culturally responsive care remain essential standards of practice.
